Our purpose
A home for liberal Republicans inside the GOP.
The Liberal Caucus was launched to secure formal recognition for ideological caucuses within Republican Party institutions across the United States. It creates a place for Republicans who combine individual liberty, democratic institutions, social tolerance, market-oriented reform, internationalism, and pragmatic government.
Democratic institutions
Defend elections, the rule of law, political pluralism, accountable government, and constitutional limits.
Open society
Support tolerance, equality before the law, civic participation, and international cooperation.
Pragmatic reform
Use evidence, markets, public institutions, and experimentation to solve problems rather than defend dogma.
Two liberal networks
Global liberalism meets New Liberal organizing.
The caucus connects two complementary traditions: Liberal International provides the worldwide political family, while the Center for New Liberalism provides a contemporary American organizing model focused on pragmatic liberal change.
